This mac app shows a vectorscope to a selectable region of the desktop. This single purpose app helps photo editors color correct beautiful skin tones with applications that provide white balance but no good way to visualize the target skin tone.
When launched, a circular vector scope is shown on the desktop. Drag the small rectangular box widget over a region of skin. The pixels contain within the selection are plotted on color vector scope. Adjusted white balance using your app’s colors correction tools to get the pixels to track as closely to the skin tone line as desired.
This app does not provide any tools to adjust color. It simply visualize the color with a line for skin tones to give photo editors the vector scope popular with color grading specialists in the cinema industry.
This app is a simple pay once / no ads / no in app purchases. This app does not collect any user information nor communicates with the internet.
However, this app requires special permission for the app to see your desktop in order to function.
First launch will prompt for Screen Recording. You can grant it manually: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording → Desktop Vectorscope. You will need to close and restart the app.
